The plumber did a good job in evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing the presenting problem. I was told a tech would be here "after 10 AM." I presumed that to mean within an hour or two at the most. He came at 2:30 in the afternoon. Being 4 1/2 hours after the time given, an update would have been appropriate.

Had a burst outside spigot. Scheduled with you, and Kolton arrived when promised. Talked to him as the water heater decided to quit after scheduling. We also talked about the perimeter pump that is going on 32 years old. He quoted me for all three repairs, got what he needed, and did repairs as promised in the timeline promised.

WOW!!! I have requested Vander Hyde for service for a few years. My last project was a Generac installed. The first person you are in contact with is Shane at reception, great personality, professional and knowledgeable. Eric was my next contact with knowledge how to have generator installed on property, again professional, great attitude, and very knowledgeable about product and what to expect at install. Anne was a great help communicating with DTE about specifics that were needed to have upgraded meter ordered. That was very, very helpful!! And then you get the workhorses!!! Very professional and represent Vander Hyde very well!! They are Ted, Quinntin, Nels… digging in clay to install lines, installing exterior boxes, interior wiring, connections for gas lines, electric lines, house grounding, surge protector, and foundation and the Generac house generator. And NOT a grumble about how hard the job is!!! Team communicated and worked together to complete the work. I asked a few questions during the job and they explained clearly the work being done. When job was done work area was cleaned and how Generac generator operated and explained yearly maintenance clearly. Again, WOW. All are shining stars for Vander Hyde!! My hot water heater (Bradford White standard) went out Monday... wife not happy. I called Vander Hyde. Came out a couple hours later... I chose standard non-high-proficiency unit, with some venting replaced. Installed in 2.5 hours... DID A GREAT JOB. But I feel I overpaid by a lot, since average job in Kent County is $900 to $2500... but their service and speed are great...
